Första dagen på sommarjobbet idag, 07:30 – 16:15. Inte riktigt lika kul som roadtrip i USA, men trevligt ändå. Efter avklarat arbetspass begav jag mig ut i skogen med flocken (iklädda nya amerikanska snusnäsdukar, aww) för att plocka huvudingrediensen till blåbärsgröt. Klent med bär var det, men skam den som ger sig. :) Nu doftar huset ljuvligt av kryddstarka räkor; vi väntar bara på att lillasyster ska komma hem från kvällspasset på sitt jobb så är det dags för sen familjemiddag.
Today was the first day of my summer job, 7:30 am to 4:15 pm. Not quite as much fun as my American roadtrip, but still okay. After finishing work, I headed out to the woods with my pack (all dressed up in their new souvenir scarves, aww) to pick the main ingredient for blueberry porridge. The berries weren’t as plentiful as I’d hoped, but I was pigheaded enough to get a small bucketful. :) Now, the house smells heavenly of spicy shrimps; we’re just waiting for my little sister to return from the evening shift at her job and then we’ll sit down for a late family dinner.

I bet your babies were over the moon to see you when you got home from your holiday! They all look very smart in their new scarves, and it’s so good to see Ruth back to full health. They are so scrumptious I could eat them all up!!! Give them a kiss from me. Toby and Skye are keeping well, they’ve just gone out for their last walk of the day with daddy, then it’s off to bed for us all.

Hi Ann! Yes, they were so happy to see me, it almost made me tear up. Sirius met me at the train station and the girls returned to my parents’ house the same evening, and they all insisted on sleeping right next to me in bed that night! :)
